In 2002 I graduated with my B.S. in education from Martin Luther College. From there, I was assigned to a small school in Wrightstown, WI to teach preschool, Kindergarten, and upper grade Spanish. Later I moved into the lower grade classroom where I taught first, second, and third grade, as well as continuing with the Spanish program. In 2013, I recieved a call here at David's Star where I taught 5th grade for three years.
After my son was born I decided to stay home and begin a family. During this time I wrote Christian educational material and music for Northwestern Publishing House and Kremer Publications. I also continued my own education by taking few reading, technology and Spanish courses through UW Stout, UW Milwaukee, and Wisconsin Lutheran College. I now am excited to be teaching first grade, and 5-8 art at David’s Star. It is a wonderful thing to be able to share God’s love with children!
I believe that a Christian education produces a solid foundation with which to build an earthly life centered around Christ, all while preparing children for an eternal life with their Savior in heaven. This type of education equips students to share God’s saving truth with others no matter where they go or what vocation they choose. Most importantly, it equips children with the knowledge of God’s love and saving grace.
